There was great excitement recently as the senior pupils raced to see who would represent the school at the Valleymount Cross Country Championships 2023.
Every year (except for the Covid years of 2020 and 2021), we have completed our Valleymount trials by doing laps of our football pitches. Due to the ongoing building works, we had to decamp to the church carpark this year for the trials. This provided a great novelty not to mention a challenging circuit for the students. The levels of fitness are very high among our students at the moment. This meant we had some brilliant races which went right to the wire! Well done to everybody who participated in the trials, especially those who qualified for Valleymount. Míle buíochas le múinteoirí na ranganna sinsireacha a d’eagraigh na trialacha!
