Presidential Election Sixth Class
The week before mid-term, rang a 6 organised a mock presidential election among the students of 4th, 5th and 6th class.

Great excitement as boys and girls from 3rd to 6th class attended Valleymount Cross Country Championships on the 17th October 2023.
Following the trials that were held in school, 4 boys and 4 girls from 3rd to 6th class went forward to Valleymount on the 17th October 2023 to take part in the Cross Country Running Championships.
Although it was an early start for all runners, everyone was excited for the races to get underway! Following a course walk to get familiar with the track, runners began to get ready and warm up. Ballyconnell NS pupils sported the new athletics jerseys for the first time. These were sponsored by Tullow Credit Union last year. Ballyconnell NS was very well represented with everyone trying their best. There were some great results on the day. Congratulations to Christopher O’ Toole (5th Class) who took 2nd place and a silver medal!

On Wednesday 22nd of October Junior and Senior Infants had a wonderful day Pumpkin Picking at Tinahely Farm Shop.
Our 4th class girls made a bit of history at the annual SLOT Cross Country held on October 1st in Carlow Town Hurling Club.
Rang a 6 paid a visit to Coláiste Bhríde for a taster day recently to give them an idea of what awaits them in secondary school next September.
The children in Ballyconnell NS had lots of fun during Maths Week 2025, which this year, took place from 13th – 17th October 2025!
On the 1st of October it was National Tree Day, Joanna Donnelly planted a tree at the front of the school with some of the members of our Parents Association.
