Our senior pupils gathered in the halla on Wednesday for our Tráth na gCeist. There was great excitement (and maybe some nerves!) as our pupils came together in a large group for the first time in over two years.
There were 18 teams altogether with all teams comprising of a mixture of 3rd to 6th class. The 18 teams would be competing for the ultimate prize – a Mini-Eggs ubh Chásca and a Seachtain na Gaeilge wrist band!
Mr Byrne, Ms Dagg, Ms Doyle and Ms Kennedy were asking the ceisteanna, some of which were easy (éasca), some of which were measartha (middling) and others which were difficult (deacair).
The main thing that all teachers noted was the cooperation between the children and, of course, the amount of Gaeilge being used by all of the foirne.
After 6 gruelling babhtaí (the last of which was a chocolate bar-based picture round – an bhfuil ocras ort?), we had our top 3!
Sa tríú háit, we had Molly, Jack, Cathal & Chloe. Sa dara háit, we had Croí, Amaury, Erika agus Holly. Agus sa chéad áit, with 33/36 we had Conor, Babette, Oisín agus Sarah. Comhghairdeas leo! Míle buíochas to Ms Ryan who helped collect all of the answer sheets and leas-phríomhoide, Ms Brennan, who stepped in as our photographer. Féach ar na grianghraif thíos!
Ag féachaint ar na scóranna… cé a bhuaigh?
Bualadh bos!

2ú háit: Croí, Amaury, Erika & Holly
