What a busy term we have had. We have been settling in to our new class and learning lots of new skills whilst having lots of fun.
We have explored several themes including, autumn, houses and homes, winter and Christmas. In autumn we explored autumn colours and we made leaf rubbings using warm autumn colours and we made autumn wreaths. We made hedgehogs from clay and put them underneath leaves to hibernate. We also painted hedgehogs and covered them with leaves. We enjoyed sensory play with leaves and compost and we sowed bulbs so that we will have daffodils in spring.
We read the story of the Three Little Pigs and made houses for them in junk art. The repetition in the story was great for language development.
Whilst exploring the winter theme we made winter clothes collages and snow globes reflecting the cold weather in winter. We decorated our classroom for Christmas and had a very special visit from Santa outdoors.
Take a look at some of our art and activities.
