Ballyconnell Hall Projects 2025
4 th class have spent the year in St Mary’s Hall. They thought it a good idea to find out a little bit more about this important building in our parish and to share what they learned with their school mates.

4th & 5th class completed a different kind of art lesson this week.
Each student was provided with a particular photograph from a calendar and the children were asked to cut the image in half in some way i.e. diagonally, vertically, horizontally etc.
Once this was complete, the children simply chose one half of the photo to stick down on an A4 page before drawing/completing the other half of the photograph themselves, using their own imagination.
Lots of the photographs were agricultural based as this integrated with our topic of farming in Ireland in Geography.
These turned out very well and the children thoroughly enjoyed completing them.

We were delighted to welcome our former student, Rosealice Byrne, back to Ballyconnell NS last week to regale our 4 th , 5 th and 6 th class students with details of her recent trip to The Gambia in West Africa.
