2nd Class had great fun creating pinch pot space aliens using clay!
After making a pinch pot, the children turned them on their side, squished the mouth down a little and then added lots of cool facial features to their space aliens! To add the eyes, teeth, tongue and tail the children used the technique of scoring. They scratched small notches into the clay using a sharp tool and then attached the features they wanted to add to their aliens.
They then painted their space aliens when they were dry.
Aren’t our clay space aliens ‘out of this world’? Take a look to see they turned out!
