Keeping active at home!
This year, because of Covid-19 it was not possible for Active Schools Week to go ahead in school, so instead, we invited the families of our school to participate in the ‘Active HOME Week’ challenge. This took place on 26th April – 1st May. The idea of the #ActiveHomeWeek challenge was to:
We provided Active Home Week ideas for the parents alongside Active Home Week Challenge Charts for the students to fill in. Children were encouraged to try something NEW, have FUN with a family activity and to ENJOY the week! Thankfully the weather remained fine for the week! Here are an array of photos that were sent into us from different classes in the school as well as a sample challenge chart!

We were delighted to welcome our former student, Rosealice Byrne, back to Ballyconnell NS last week to regale our 4 th , 5 th and 6 th class students with details of her recent trip to The Gambia in West Africa.
