The week before mid-term, rang a 6 organised a mock presidential election among the students of 4th, 5th and 6th class.

Rang a 6 Visit Coláiste Bhríde
On the last day of September, rang a 6 headed off to Coláiste Bhríde in Carnew. This was part of a new initiative run by Coláiste Bhríde to invite 6th class students from their hinterland to get a feel for the school.
We were delighted to be greeted by former Ballyconnell NS students Emma Cullen and Fiach Byrne at the main entrance. Fiach and Emma would be leading us around for the day.
The children had great fun trying their hand at engineering with Mr Holly, art with Ms Elliot, science with Ms Rickerby, music with Ms Glynn and PE with Ms Murphy. There was also a tasty lunch provided!

On Wednesday 22nd of October Junior and Senior Infants had a wonderful day Pumpkin Picking at Tinahely Farm Shop.
Our 4th class girls made a bit of history at the annual SLOT Cross Country held on October 1st in Carlow Town Hurling Club.

The children in Ballyconnell NS had lots of fun during Maths Week 2025, which this year, took place from 13th – 17th October 2025!
On the 1st of October it was National Tree Day, Joanna Donnelly planted a tree at the front of the school with some of the members of our Parents Association.
