All Parents/Guardians of children attending Ballyconnell National school are members of the Parents Association. Year after year, our school is lucky to have a very active committee of enthusiastic and interested parents each with their own skills and reasons for getting involved.

The Parents Association is a structure through which parents/guardians in a school can work together for the best possible education for their children. The Parents Association works with the principal, staff and the board of management to build an effective partnership of home and school.

The Parents Association undertakes a selection of activities & initiatives in consultation with the school principal that promotes the involvement of parents, and that supports the pupils, parents & staff.

Members are elected each year during the AGM and serve a yearly term.

Parent Association meetings are held on the school premises, at regular intervals, during the school year in the evening time.

The Parents Association finances all its activities from fundraising activities.
