Visit from Joanna Donnelly to Ballyconnell National School
On Wednesday 1st of October we were very fortunate to welcome Joanna Donnelly - Meterologist, author and former RTE Weather presenter to Ballyconnell National School. Joanna with passion and enthusiasm explained all things weather related and carried out experiments with the pupils. There was great excitement, wonder and awe when Joanna demonstrated the experiment on how to make a tornado. As it was National Tree Day, Joanna planted a tree at the front of the school with some of the members of our Parents Association. A huge thank you to Joanna for visiting Ballyconnell School, an enjoyable and educational day was had by all.
