The 3^rd and 4^th class girls blitz took place on Thursday, January 16^th in Aughrim Hall. Because of the interest levels, Ballyconnell NS had two teams. For the 3^rd class girls, it was their first time representing the school so it was an exciting occasion for them! The 4^th class added to their experience from last year. We played games against Annacurra, Aughrim and St Saviour’s. Everyone enjoyed the experience and the cailíní can’t wait for the next time they wear the red and black of Ballyconnell!

Following on from our 3^rd and 4^th class girls successful outing, it was then the turn of the 3^rd and 4^th class boys to travel to Aughrim on the 23^rd of January. The boys displayed some excellent football skills and teamwork on the day and most importantly had a very enjoyable day. We played games against Aughrim, Ballycoog, Shillelagh and St Saviour’s. With such promising talent on show over both days, it’s clear the future of football at our school looks very bright!
