Ballyconnell National School Wins Best Entry in Tullow’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Ballyconnell National School made history this year by participating in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Tullow for the very first time. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of the newly formed school’s Parents’ Association. The school was proudly represented on the day by all present and it was the pupils of Ballyconnell who truly shone.
The parade saw an enthusiastic turnout, with students beaming with excitement as they marched through the street of Tullow, dressed in green and carrying flags and most of all soaking up the atmosphere from all who had turned out to watch the parade.
To top off an already fantastic day, Ballyconnell National School was awarded Best Entry in the parade—a tremendous achievement for their debut appearance. The school was honoured with the Simon Ronan Memorial Trophy and a €100 cheque, a recognition of their outstanding effort and teamwork.
Winning this award has made the occasion even more special, and Ballyconnell National School is already looking forward to participating again next year. Congratulations to all involved!
