St Lawrence O’Toole’s Cross Country 2025

Almost 50 of our students headed to Carlow on October 1^st to take part in the annual St Lawrence O’Toole’s Cross Country Championship. The competition is open to all 4^th, 5^th and 6^th class students across County Carlow and beyond with over 30 schools represented on the day.

From a Ballyconnell NS perspective, the main headline was a team gold for our 4^th class girls! This is the first time that Ballyconnell NS has won a team gold in this competition. The fab four who were first home were Rose O’Toole, Maia Froelich, Kate O’Toole and Anabel O’Grady. In addition, Rose finished in 3^rd place overall, following in the footsteps of her brother Christopher who also medalled in SLOT in recent years. Maith thú, a Róis!

Overall, great fun was had by all our students who pushed themselves hard to do the best they possibly could. Well done to all our students who participated and míle buíochas to all at St Lawrence O’Toole’s Athletics Club who organised the event.
