Pumpkin Picking Tinahely Farm Shop

Under bright blue skies Junior and Senior Infants travelled to Tinahely Farm Shop. With their wellies on and a large shopping bag in hand the children’s mission was to pick the largest pumpkin to bring home. The Play barn was decorated with Halloween Spooky decorations. The children enjoyed playing in the sand, pedalling on the toy tractors and playing on the go – Karts. Then it was time to go on the tractor and trailer ride to the pumpkin greenhouse. Brimming with excitement and singing songs the children headed off. Pumpkins were rolled into shopping bags and using their muscles the bags were brought back to the trailer. Children saw pigs, sheep and donkeys en route back to the Play Barn. Then it was time for lunch, play and back on the bus to Ballyconnell School.
