Hi, I’m Chloe and I got picked to play with Carlow Cumann na mBunscol team.
On the second of June, I went to Bennekerry National School where I met everyone on the team and got on the bus to get there. It was in St Pat’s teacher training college in Dublin. My Mam drove behind the bus. The first match was at 10.30am against Meath and we beat them 1-04 to 0-03. The next match was against Dublin and we beat them 3-05 to 0-01. The next game was the semi-final in which we were against Westmeath and we beat them 7-09 to 0-00. The last game was against Laois which was the final and we unfortunately lost against them 1-02 to 1-01. In most of those matches I was playing midfield but the last game I couldn’t play because I hurt my leg.
Overall I was really excited, a little nervous and happy that we at least got into the final. I am also really proud to have been selected to play on this team.
