On the Thursday of Active Schools Week we held our annual action-packed Sports Day! This was very similar to previous years wherein the children complete various different stations within their classes for a certain period of time. Each teacher was given a timetable so it was very easy for everyone to know where they had to be at different times of the day. The students in 6th class were in charge of setting up the stations for the day to kick off at 10am! The stations included:
We were even able to include a station for the well-known egg & spoon race and sack race as well as a timed stationed area for stretching, balancing and cooperative games! It truly was a great success!! We were extremely lucky with the weather and everyone seemed to really enjoy the day!
Our virtual Sponsored Walk also took place this day which involved each class walking around the Active Schools Walkway whilst the Sports Day events were taking place. This was once again completed separately (class by class) in order to comply with Covid restrictions and covered the entire perimeter of the school grounds.
