Last week, we were busy constructing hot air balloons in 2nd Class.

We did a great job designing our backgrounds and making our hot air balloons using coloured card!

It was hard work, but we were all very happy with the result!

Did you know?

• The hot air balloon was invented by two French brothers, Joseph-Michel Montgolfier and Jacques-Étienne Montgolfier in 1783.
• The first people on a hot air balloon were, in fact, not people at all – They were animals! A rooster, a duck and a sheep! Their view was not half baa-aaa-aaad.
