Super Troopers (2019)
Our school engaged in Super Troopers with Laya Healthcare in 2019, during our first year of running for the Active Schools Flag. Super Troopers is a programme which encourages children and their families to live happier and more active lifestyles. Through short burst, fun daily activities around physical activity, wellbeing and nutrition, this programme helps to promote healthy minds and bodies. The children completed the activities in the booklets and filled in the relevant pages as part of their P.E. homework.
Irish Heart Foundation 'Let's Get Active' award (January/February 2020)
In January & February 2020, our school took part in the Irish Heart Foundation Active Award. The children were challenged to get active for 60+ minutes every day, and to try new activities. Congratulations and well done to all those who made such a fantastic effort to be active.

On Wednesday 22nd of October Junior and Senior Infants had a wonderful day Pumpkin Picking at Tinahely Farm Shop.
Our 4th class girls made a bit of history at the annual SLOT Cross Country held on October 1st in Carlow Town Hurling Club.
Rang a 6 paid a visit to Coláiste Bhríde for a taster day recently to give them an idea of what awaits them in secondary school next September.
The children in Ballyconnell NS had lots of fun during Maths Week 2025, which this year, took place from 13th – 17th October 2025!
On the 1st of October it was National Tree Day, Joanna Donnelly planted a tree at the front of the school with some of the members of our Parents Association.
